The Jon Eakes DVD Encyclopaedia of Home Improvement is a series of topic oriented DVDs with full interactive menus that allow you to follow the learning thread, or jump to the detail you want to know about or watch again. Each one has over 2 hours of video and I have insisted on keeping the price under $10.

TV production always stressed me with production rush and deadlines and they constantly wanted more entertainment than education. Now I can produce these titles with the detail you keep asking of me and take the time to get them right. Two titles are available now and more will be coming in the months ahead – but I don't work weekends any more so you will receive quality, not quantity.

DVD is the media that is half way between TV and the Web. For those who do not have fast modems, or beautiful large monitors, DVD is the best way to watch full screen videos. Where TV is great for entertainment, DVD permits the same image with full interactive access directly to what you want to watch, when you want to watch it, over and over again if you like. DVD allows me to show you the detail that the TV producers say is not entertaining enough. I love doing video this way because I am not stressed out by TV time limits and since you can jump around, I don't have to worry about boring you with extreme detail. Each detail stands alone, yet fits into a whole -- I get the satisfaction of being able to give you the message both ways. That is why I have chosen DVD as the medium for my growing encyclopaedia of topic oriented videos. But one can't produce this kind of stuff if there is no distribution and that is why I am partnering with companies already selling products in your renovation centres to produce and distribute these DVDs. I insisted on setting the price at $9.95 each so you couldn't afford to not have them. Don't copy them, buy one for your neighbour and help me to make more titles.
