Every trade, technique and tool has a Learning Curve – where you make lots of mistakes, use the wrong blade, burn wood or plastic, make the wrong mix, apply something less than professionally or generally struggle through to becoming proficient. An apprentice working beside someone who has already been there generally learns faster and better. I don’t claim to be a master at any of the trades that I talk about – but over the years if I have become a Master of anything it is a Master Teacher. The videos in the JonEakes.com Learning Curve project are not promotions for anything other than good working techniques collected from those who know and presented as clearly as I can manage. The blogs below each task allow craftsmen and amateurs to share their tips as well.
