Cleaning wax crayon from the inside of a dryer

Anne's husband left a red crayon in his shirt pocket -- and it spent 60 minutes in the dryer cooking onto everything. She got the wax out, but there is a bit of a stain left. How to get it out?

The best thing to do is to use a "wax cleaner" -- yes that simple. There are cleaners specifically made to remove all traces of wax from floors for refinishing. It may not completely remove the stain on her white enamel, but what it won't remove won?t ever come off on any clothes. Just make sure that there are no wax accumulations in the cracks and corners.

If the container of the wax cleaner indicates that it is flammable, be careful to not turn on the dryer until there is absolutely no odour of the cleaner left. Don?t even turn on the motor without the heat -- an electric motor makes sparks as it turns, and in a closed space like a clothes dryer, with all that lint and dust inside the mechanism, you could start a fire.
