The metal plating industry was in its heyday when we all had chrome plated car bumpers. But it is still alive and healthy. On my TV show we took a tour of a plating shop to see metal hardware from all around the house getting cleaned up and a bright new finish being put on. The finishes available are amazing, from the traditional copper or chrome, to antique or even new 'metallic' colours.
