Rip Cut - Floating Fence

When working with wood scraps there are times when you need a cut that has no edge parallel to it to allow you to guide it on a table saw.  Usually we end up cutting that line with a portable circular saw and then clean it all up on the table saw.

Check out what I call a "Floating Fence" that leaves behind all our "parallel" guides and uses the edge of the table to give me a straight cut with no reference edge.
